All applications must be submitted by Friday, October 1st along with a $75.00 per performance fee and the $500 Performance Appearance Bond required by GMEA. Your Performance Bond will be returned upon your band’s arrival and registration at the contest. Please submit separate checks for your entry fee and Performance Appearance Bond.

Festival – Bands will be judged Olympic style
Competition (Captions) – There will be one (1) judge each for Visual Performance, Music Performance, and General Effect breaking down to Music Effect and Visual Effect. There will be one (1) judge each for Drum Majors (comments only), Color Guard, Percussion, and Majorettes/Drill Team.
AWARDS
Festival Format: A trophy for Superior, Excellent & Good will be awarded to all participating bands. All auxiliary units will receive ratings on a single plaque. All units will be rated Superior, Excellent, Good, or Fair. No numeric scores will be given.
Caption Format: A single ratings plaque and Best In Class trophies will be awarded to Color Guard, Percussion, Majorettes, Dance Line, Most Outstanding Music Performance, Most Outstanding Visual Performance, Most Outstanding General Effect, and Overall Band. Drum Majors are comments only. We will a Silver (Classes A, AA, & AAA) as well as a Green Division (AAAA, AAAAA, & Open) if the number of entrants is greater than 10 performing groups.
Grand Championship Trophies Will Be Awarded To The Top Three Bands Regardless of Class or for each Division depending on the number of performing groups
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Bands will be scheduled in 20 minute time slots. Your show should be between 6 and 12 minutes. Your band must enter, perform, and exit the field (including retrieval of all equipment) within your allotted 20 minutes.
PERFORMANCE TIMES
Bands will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis with the first applications received scheduled last within each division. To assure a certain spot, please return your registration form as soon as possible.
