Tonya is a writer, designer, and educator. She is currently the Percussion Director and Assistant Director of Bands at Lambert High School in Suwanee, Ga. In addition to Lambert High School, she works with many other percussion programs in the North Georgia area, including Forsyth Central and Kennesaw Mountain.

As a performer, Tonya was a member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in ’04 and ’06, Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps from ’01-’03, and Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps in ’00. She was also a member of the 2005 UNT PASIC Drumline. Tonya earned her Bachelors in Music from the University of North Texas under Mark Ford, Christopher Deane, Ed Soph, and Paul Rennick.
